During your lifetime, what was your most anticipated or wanted Christmas game related gift?
For me, it was the year I had asked for a Nintendo 64 and the gold cart edition of Zelda 64. I wanted it so bad. So bad that I couldn’t keep my peepers to myself, and I went snooping in the closet and found it before Christmas. I was super excited in the moment but what followed was the sinking feeling of having to feign excitement later.

QUESTION: When going back to play retro games you haven't tried before how do you determine if something is good vs nostalgic or for it's time? I've found a lot of games are remembered as really great but haven't aged all that awesomely so a newcomer to the game will have a hard time getting into it. whereas some games are timeless. how do you tell the difference before committing to purchase
